Phase I Construction Loading ...
Phase I of our construction project is beginning. Phase I includes grant-funded renovations to our upstairs and downstairs, making room for Phase II, which will be the highly anticipated early learning space, Discovery PLAYce. Phase I renovations are financed by Flexible Facilities Program Grant Funds from the Wisconsin Department of Administration. Patrons will begin to notice activity. Watch for updates!

Join Us in Giving Our Sincere Thanks
We extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘆, 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝘁𝘁, and 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮 as they complete their terms on our Board of Trustees. Thank you for your time, dedication, and passion for our work and mission as a public library. All three of you have made a lasting impact, and we're so grateful for your service to the Beloit community.

We're Beaming with Pride
Our very own Desiree Johnson represented BPL at the 2025 American Library Association Annual Conference last week in Philadelphia! She and another Wisconsin librarian presented a poster session about the power of using PBS resources and programming. Desiree’s is a true asset to our team, and we’re proud to have her represent us on a national stage.

Speak Up for Libraries
Speak Up for Libraries and share what the library means to you! We’re joining libraries across Wisconsin in a special postcard project. Stop by the front counter, write a quick message about why you love your library, and drop it in the box. Your words will help remind federally elected leaders that libraries are a vital part of the communities they serve.

Summer Reading Check-In
We're one-third of the way through summer, so how are those reading logs filling up?  Keeping your brain engaged while enjoying the warmer weather is easy when you have a good book and a comfortable spot in the shade. Even better? You can log your minutes for prizes. Pick up your log today!

Library Closed for Independence Day
Beloit Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 4 in observation of Independence Day. The library will resume regular hours on Saturday, July 5.

Shelter from the Heat in Our Cool Spaces
When the heat hits, BPL is your local cooling shelter. Cool off while you enjoy our comfortable spaces, use our computers or Wi-Fi, take part in a planned event, engage with your child in our children's area, put together a puzzle, play a game, or find a cozy nook to read a book, newspaper, or magazine. Our lobby opens at 7:00am Monday through Friday.
