Friday Program to Feature Around the Farm Table Television Host
The Library will host a celebrity of Wisconsin Public Television from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28. Inga Witscher, host of PBS’ Around the Farm Table, will provide a unique and engaging experience for attendees. As she prepares a seasonally inspired recipe, she will share captivating stories from her life on the farm, as well as her experiences filming her television series.

Public Statement Regarding Technology Issues at the Library
At Beloit Public Library, we are dedicated to providing the community with an outstanding array of services that include rapidly evolving computer technology. Since last fall, that commitment has been disrupted due to overlapping technological issues affecting printing services, public computers, and phone lines. Understandably, library patrons have been frustrated.

Take a deep dive into unbiased data on the School District of Beloit with the new SDB DataTool. Produced by the statewide nonpartisan, independent policy research organization Wisconsin Policy Forum, the SDB DataTool is a website that provides a comprehensive look at how the district is functioning.

Thousands of Used Books Up for Grabs at Warehouse Sale
Book lovers can stock their home libraries for pennies on the dollar at the Friends at Beloit Library (FABL) semi-annual warehouse book sale April 10-12. Thousands of books will be available – many of them discarded from the library and others donated from the public – across many genres.

Police Chief to Discuss Public Safety at The Civics Academy
Police Chief Andre Sayles will be the featured speaker at April's presentation of The Civics Academy. Attend to find out how the Beloit Police Department operates, current safety and crime metrics, and what the department sees as its biggest opportunities and challenges.

Library Receives Grant from Arthur & Lela Gibbs Trust
BPL recently received a $3,420 grant from the Arthur & Lela Gibbs Trust at the Stateline Community Foundation.
These unrestricted funds will help the library in its efforts to provide an outstanding array of initiatives, programming, and services for people residing in the City of Beloit and outlying areas.

Library Receives Community Impact Grant
Stateline Community Foundation recently awarded a $1,500 Community Impact Grant to Beloit Public Library to support The Civics Academy Series. This lunch-and-learn series offers monthly presentations on public finance (city and schools), education, city services, housing, economic development, and other topics that are important to our community.
