Library Announces Capital Campaign
Co-Chairs for Discovery PLAYce
Beloit Public Library is proud to announce two distinguished community leaders as Co-Chairs of the capital campaign for Discovery PLAYce, the Library’s planned early learning center for children ages 0–6 and their caregivers.
 
Frank McKearn, President of R.H. Batterman, and Stephanie Knueppel, Owner and CEO of Stateline Mental Health Services, will lead the effort to bring this transformative initiative to life.

Go Green THIS SATURDAY at Beloit Public Library
This Saturday, April 26, 2025, Beloit Public Library will host a series of engaging, environmentally-focused events as part of its Earth Day Celebration & Community Festival. These activities aim to educate and inspire community members of all ages to take action in protecting our planet ... and save money doing it. Experts will be on hand.​

BookQuest 2025 Winners Crowned
Beloit’s fourth- and fifth-grade bookworms battled for trophies and bragging rights at the 42nd Annual BookQuest Competition, a battle-of-the-books-type competition held each spring at Beloit Public Library. A record 16 teams from eight schools participated, with Todd Elementary School's Todd Howlers taking home first-place trophies.

Beanstack Expires April 30
Our contract with Beanstack is expiring April 30, 2025. When this happens, any users will lose access to their accounts and individual reading data. If you have used Beanstack to track your personal reading and don't want to lose the information, you will need to print your reading logs by April 30 before access to the resource expires. Congratulations, Juanita!
Let's hear it for Juanita Bonilla, whose name was drawn as the April winner for participating in our feedback survey. She'll receive a BPL tote bag, clip-on reading light, notebook, insulated tumbler, and a $10 gift card for Blender Café.
