Wisconsin Library Association (WLA) Presenters announced

We are excited that two of our team members will be speaking at the Wisconsin Library Association's fall conference!

Last week, we learned Katherine Schoofs, Assistant Director/Youth Services Librarian and Amy Kilkenny, Programming Librarian were  accepted as presenters at the WLA Fall Conference, October 20-23, 2026 at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton, WI.  Their presentation title is:  Phenomenal Programming Powers, Itty Bitty Activity Space.
 
Using experiences gained by our move to a temporary space, the two, with wit and charm, will be sharing programming insights with peers in the library community.

Round up for DPL event through DPL.
Steinbrink's Piggly Wiggly (Delavan) customers can donate spare change from their purchase to the Delavan Aram Public Library Foundation (DAPLF) by rounding up the nearest dollar, or more, during the month of July. 
 
Organized by DAPLF, proceeds from the "Round Up" donations will benefit the library's expansion, specifically going towards Outdoor Solar Charging Benches.

Unearth A Story - ALL AGES Summer Reading Program 2026
From June 5 to August 9, register on Beanstack to read and earn prizes! The more minutes you read, and the more library activities you participate in, the more tickets you earn. The Summer Reading Program is for all ages - babies to adults - so everyone can join in the fun and win!

Dungeons & Dragons begins!
Dungeons & Dragons begins! Twice a month, beginning Saturday,
July 11th and 25th @10am-2pm | Please register
Gather, brave adventurers, for an epic quest!
We're launching a Dungeons & Dragons campaign this summer and we want YOU to join! We will have everything needed to play available, but feel free to bring your own supplies, if you so desire! Registration is limited, but there will be a waitlist. If there's enough interest, we'll add DMs and open up additional tables!

East Asia Grant programs running this month at DPL.
Delavan Public Library won a grant to host programs and purchase materials to foster better understanding of East Asia and its peoples. The award will offer our community the opportunity to explore Japanese culture as it relates to Kaiju (strange beasts)!

Capital Campaign, Phase III
 
The Delavan Aram Public Library Foundation (DAPLF) continues to work diligently towards a Phase III goal of $500,000 in grants, pledges, and/or donations.  As with all projects, funding is still needed, especially for unique items like Makerspace tools or a Whisper Room (recording studio).  Are you interested in purchasing items on our Amazon wishlist? Or, perhaps you know someone who might be interested in donating funding towards overall construction?
